I am a Senior Research Scientist at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU).
My research centers on applying AI and Machine Learning, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods, for Social Good. I focus on areas where this technology can drive positive impact, such as mental health counseling, food consumption and health, and career mobility. I also maintain a general interest in computational social science.
Previously, I led a research team at the Living Analytics Research Centre at SMU, where we developed personalized technology for healthy eating and just-in-time behavioral change interventions – including developing food image recognition and conversational-agent systems – within the Smart Consumption and Healthy Lifestyle domain.
